I'm very grateful it's Friday today, folks. Because I'm exhausted from yesterday. And no, it's not because Nain is hungover...that's T. I was the designated driver, you see...no, it's because we had so much fun being out and about with all of the festivities yesterday. It was a perfect day for St. Patrick's Day - sunny and 70 degrees. We had a great time with friends just sitting outside enjoying the beautiful day and the fun all around us. It's a tradition I love that T and I have started, and I can't wait until next year.
However, since Nain is tired today, and it's Friday...you'll get a rambling post. Sorry! I can't be fully coherent on a daily basis, what can I say?
So since last weekend was a relaxing weekend, unfortunately I'm not sure this weekend will be the same. No sleeping in for us this weekend, I'm afraid, which makes me miss my bed already. We'll be up early tomorrow to do 90 minutes in our mini-marathon training. Considering I'll be walking the mini in about four hours, 90 minutes is only a small step in the right direction. I'm still scared to death of actually walking for four hours, but...I'm dedicated to do it! My sister and Roo will be coming down Saturday afternoon, and Sunday we have to get up bright and early to volunteer at a church retreat and then spend the day packing. T went to a packaging store the other day and for $20, we got about 60 boxes (compeltely unused). The trick is, these are boxes from companies who ordered too many. Some of the boxes we got were from a hospital and have biohazard medical waste written on them. SO...we might be scaring our movers when they do come to move our stuff. And the official closing date has been set! April 13th! Less than a month away!
Other than that, I am looking forward to the big start of Dancing with the Stars next week. For those of you who have read this blog from the start know that I LOVE that show. Love love love the show. So I'm super exicted it's making a return. What can I say? It's the little things in life that make me happy.
What are all of your plans for the weekend? Everyone have a good St. Patrick's Day?
I'm going to also do a little plug for a few other things here on my page this morning because it's been awhile, but did you know that View From Down Here has a Facebook page? You didn't? Well, you should! And you know, it'd also be completely awesome if you stopped by and became a fan :-) And if you're on Twitter, tweet me (is that how you say it?) @viewfromnain.
Also, I want to thank all of my awesome Motivation Monday participants this week! It was the best week ever, so I would encourage all of you to check out the posts everyone had to share about what is motivating them this week. Hope you all stuck to your goals! If not, there's always next Monday!
