Great weekends are a treasure

It's Small Treasure Tuesday time with Chantel!  It's always good to take a step back and appreciate the good things in your life.  Last week taught me that more than anything.  And after the hell, T and I have gone through with the health scare, we needed a good weekend.  And a good weekend we had.

We started off doing the Shamrock 4 mile race in downtown Indy.  It's always fun...you dress up in your green, some people are in costume, and you do the race, and end it with a party and a nice cold Guinness with some live music.  Last year we made the fatal mistake of not carrying our IDs with us.  Sure, we had our bib numbers, and they had our ages on them, but nope...needed the ID.  We planned ahead this year.

Here we are having a Guinness after doing a race at ten in the morning...nothing beats it!  We actually both did really well and hit all-time high races for us.  I'm still wondering if I have the stamina to do the mini in a month or so.  After the race, I was thinking "could I keep going another 9 miles?"  We'll see!
We spent the rest of Saturday just hanging out, and I started packing for the big move to the new house.  We went to church, relaxed with a little DVR and went to bed.  It was kind of nice to just sleep in for a change, and it was well-needed.  However, losing an hour of sleep due to Daylight Savings Time?  Not so cool.
Sunday my parents came down to visit, and we hit a local winery for this fun event they were having for St. Patrick's Day.  They had a special where you could get soda bread and Irish stew, have some wine and listen to some live Irish music.  We enjoyed our food, some wine (maybe a little too much, but oh well) and the company.  It was a really nice afternoon.  I haven't had one of those in a long, long time.
So my treasure this week is the great weekend I had and spending time with the ones I love.  What are you treasuring this week?
